Entry portal & QR
Vehicle entry portal and visitor access with QR codes
A portal for vehicle entry and for visitor and contractor access: invitation, QR code, reader, access decision and entry log in one process.
What the portal does
- Vehicle entry and exit and permission management.
- Visitors and contractors within a visit time window.
- A QR code sent by e-mail instead of a card.
- A reception panel: guest list, entry and exit log.
- Multiple tenants in one building: each company grants only the zones assigned to it, with an optional invitation limit.
- Cancelling an invitation removes access immediately.
From invitation to access decision
01
Invitation
A company employee invites a visitor or contractor for a chosen time and chosen zones.
02
QR code
The visitor receives a random QR code by e-mail instead of a card.
03
Visit window
The person and identifier exist in the access platform only for the visit (30 minutes before and after by default, configurable).
04
Reader
A QR reader at the door or gate passes the code to the controller, which makes the decision.
05
Completion
After the visit the person and identifier are removed from the system.
From our projects
- An application for Gamanet C4 2024 with roles: building administrator, company administrator and employee.
- Visitor personal data deleted automatically after a configured period (90 days by default).
- Deployment on a Linux server, in Docker or on Windows (IIS), with the C4 connection set in the browser.
- QR readers with Wiegand or OSDP output connected to controllers, for example the 2N Access Unit QR.
Frequently asked questions
- Is the QR code secure?
- The code is random and works only within the visit window, because outside it the person does not exist in the access system. A lost or shared code can be cancelled immediately.
- Which readers are needed?
- QR readers with Wiegand or OSDP output connected to controllers. Before deployment we check the number length and code format the reader requires.
- Is guest data deleted?
- Yes. Completed visits are deleted after the configured retention period, by default 90 days.
